George Boldt

George Boldt

The genius of hotel management

George Boldt became a model of skilled management of luxury lodging facilities for hoteliers. Not only did he make his hotels a place where guests arriving in could rest, but primarily a unique center where the society elites held their meetings. American author Oliver Herford wrote that Boldt brought “exclusiveness to the masses,” as he indeed charged quite a sum for high quality standards while teaching the nouveau riche how to spend money in a hotel. He made a fortune on it. He became known in the hotel industry as a prominent leader of his craft who implemented management methods that are binding in hotels across the globe to this day.
