This initially shy boy from a small village discovered within himself an unquestionable talent for servicing guests; combined with hard work, it allowed him to climb to the very top in his trade and earn the title of “the king of hoteliers.” He was also called “the hotelier of kings,” as his reputation and authority allowed him to turn European monarchs into his regular guests. The hotels he created were a league of its own, while the name Ritz continues to be a synonym of absolute luxury and elegance to this day – not only in the hotel industry.
